Fanoos e Khees (Floating Lantern)

from We are Here ... Still by Kamyar Arsani

about

Inspired by Sohrab Sepehri's poem "Wet Lantern"
Emotional one for me. I moved the sentences around a bit for the music. I needed something minimalist but experimental and structured. a song to look at the rain with.

"Whispers of the night grow within my vein
The rain drops on dry walls of my mind
I was not here
I'm a star pouring down, on grass
a lantern
Cleansing in the madness of ocean waves
Where is this lantern heading to?
in the midst of angels whirling"-Sohrab Sepehri

Thank you Sohrab Sepehri. I had to share this song today, because I realized anniversary of his departure from planet earth was yesterday. Sending him love wherever he is. Hopefully somewhere quiet near a lake, with headphones on, listening to Fanoos e Khees.
